VTX™ SPRAY GUN AT AWFS FAIR
DeVilbiss announces the availability of the lightweight FinishLine 3® general-purpose spray guns; precision-engineered for uniform, well-atomized spray patterns. The FinishLine Spray Guns offer an economical solution for general purpose and light duty applications, making them ideal for painters, contractors, and hobbyists.
The FinishLine® Spray Guns - available in both HVLP or conventional models - are structured with all gun-washer safe high-grade aluminum bodies and all metal components, including stainless steel fluid tips and needles. Models are available with aluminum "drip-free" cups, disposable E-Z Liners, gun hook, spray tube or fluid filter and fluid tip. (Fluid tip sizes vary by model).
"The FinishLine Spray Guns provide a quality finish on all types of surfaces - walls, ceilings, wood surfaces, metals and plastics," said Mark Foster, General Distribution Marketing and Sales Manager. "And because they are lightweight, durable, and economical, they provide an ideal solution for home improvement enthusiasts, as well as for painting contractors."
The DeVilbiss FinishLine 3® Spray Guns:
- Present well-atomized and uniform spray patterns for greater accuracy, flexibility and control; as well as less overspray and waste.
- HVLP models use low air consumption to comply with HVLP regulations.
- Feature high-grade construction for less maintenance and down time.
- Gravity Feed models offer upside-down spraying capability and fewer refills.
- Have replaceable hard-coated aluminum threaded baffles. (No need to replace gun should the gun body threads become damaged).
DeVilbiss Solvent Savers™ hose and gun cleaners are simple, easy-to-use cleaners that speed up equipment cleaning and save up to 86% in solvent use.
The hose and gun cleaners are used to clean the inside of material hose, fluid passageways of spray guns and other paint equipment. They are designed to mix solvents and compressed air to flush paint lines and passages quickly and thoroughly, eliminating color contamination and saving time. The result is clean and dry paint passageways with less than 25% of the cleaning solvents required in wet flush systems.
In addition, the air/solvent mix can be adjusted through the incorporated metering valve. The Solvent Savers™ also come equipped with a pressure relief valve.
DeVilbiss provides an advanced air supplied respirator for maximum protection and comfort for finishing operations that require face masks.
The Air Vizor™ is a full lightweight face mask that provides excellent visibility, along with:
- A glare-reducing visor window
- Detachable hair and neck cover
- Ratchet adjustable headgear
- A rigid face piece for better visibility over time
- Accommodation for prescription eyewear and beards
- NIOSH approval, meeting all OSHA requirements
- A belt-mounted filter, regulator and breathing air tube
- Adjustable belt with quick fit buckle
The Air Vizor™ is part of a complete breathable air system that includes air filtration units and carbon monoxide monitoring for a complete air respirator system. The breathable air filtration units convert shop air into clean, dry, contaminant-free air for breathing systems and spray operations. They also include a charcoal filter for hydrocarbon and odor removal. (Note: A carbon monoxide monitor must be purchased separately).
VTX™ Spray Gun with Jet Impingement Atomization Recognized as Revolutionary Wood Finishing Method
DeVilbiss will be exhibiting its new VTX™ Spray Gun at the Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers (AWFS) Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center July 27 - 30.
The DeVilbiss VTX™ Spray Gun uses Jet Impingement Atomization (JIA) to revolutionize NGR (non grain raising) wood finishing stain application. This innovative process significantly improves pattern coverage uniformity, color consistency, and process capability, and virtually eliminates mottling and haloing. The result is a superior finish with less rework and material savings.
"Customers are telling us that the VTX™ Spray Gun has eliminated mottling problems, improved recessed-area finishing, helped reduce waste stain by at least 40%, and eliminated the need for re-shading and an extra finishing process," said Chuck Scott, Marketing Manager for DeVilbiss Brands. "This was our vision in designing the VTX™ with internal jet impingement technology - to discover new ways to provide continually improving finishing application methods."
The VTX™ Spray Gun has been recognized as the Challenger Award winner at the 2004 IWF Show for its innovative approach to perfecting wood finishing.
